Christmas Tree Card Holder from an Old Rake

Christmas Eve greetings to you all! And, speaking of greetings, I'm going to share just one more Christmas project with you all before the big day! I've always wanted a good place to put my Christmas cards and now I finally have one. An old rake turned Christmas tree is the perfect spot for hanging my greeting cards!
This rusty old rake was perfect already so all I had to do was chop off the handle and add a few embellishments!

I've had these mini lights in my craft supplies for more years than I can remember. But they were just the right size to string on this tree with a little twine and hot glue!

I cut some burlap and shaped it into a star. I've removed the hot glue strings since I took this photo, too. Couldn't even see them until I got up close and personal with the camera! :)

My brother and his wife sent me this cardinal card. So I perched him onto the tree!

For the rest of my cards, I used a hole punch and added some baker's twine to hang them in staggering heights off the rake.

I love my new card holder. Hope you've enjoyed seeing it today!

Merry Christmas to you all!
I hope you have a most wonderful Christmas day!
